Requirements

On a day long trek in scenic, but rugged terrain riders must meet criteria for their own and our horses' safety.
To thoroughly enjoy your stay we suggest that your riding ability be at an intermediate level due to the terrain and lengths of our rides, however a strong novice rider could be accommodated for short rides. Such as husbands who will be riding one day and golfing the other three. Sometimes we are willing to waive the 200 lb. limit for a tall, experienced rider who is capable of riding light on the horse's back.
Beginner: A rider who has limited experience, is unable to post the trot and does not canter.
Novice: A rider who is capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, comfortable and in control at the walk, moderate length posting trots, and short canters.
Intermediate: A rider who has a firm seat, is confident and in control at all paces (including posting trots, two point canters and gallops), but does not ride regularly.
Strong Intermediate: An intermediate rider who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable in the saddle for at least 6 hours per day.
Advanced: All of the above, plus an independent seat, soft hands, and capable of handling a spirited horse in open country.

Children: Children must be 15 years of age and have strong novice to intermediate riding knowledge and experience.
The trek guide has full authority to exclude a rider from a trip for inability to ride or behavior which endangers the other riders or the horses. No refunds will be made under these circumstances. All of our horses have been trained in trail riding skills and manners; however, they do have a mind of their own.

Please reference this calendar for available dates for 2021 season or click on the availability button above for a list of all our rides. Although most of our rides are listed for 7 days, you can book 5 day and 8 day rides during the time frame. You can book a regular ride during a Yoga Retreat Week or you can add yoga sessions to a Regular Week.

“I love going to Ms. Kendra’s, she lets us laugh and have fun with our horsey-friends. Cinnabar is my favorite horse, she is the only girl and she is super sweet.”

“…Kendra Loring is unbelievably talented and very patient with my daughters. She brings a sense of calm and confidence, which my daughters thrive on. She places a big emphasis on safety, which is so important, especially for small children. I was a nervous parent at first, but Kendra and her amazing, gentle, intelligent horses have earned my trust. If you are looking for a wonderful facility run by an incredible woman who takes the utmost pride in what she does, look no further than Enchanted Equine Adventures!”

“As an instructor Kendra is patient and positive. I have been her client for a couple of years and find her expertise is extensive. She has educated herself with an equine studies degree and certificates yet remains open to new information and is always willing to learn from others. I believe I have found my ideal instructor in Kendra and see no limits as to how far I can progress with her.”
